How do I claim back money from the National Grid?

When we install your system, we will send details of your installation and your MPAN number to the National Grid. They will generate a new MPAN number to share with your energy company so that you can start using a flexible tariff. This enables you to use energy generated in the day during the night, when energy is cheaper on some tariffs. We can help you to choose an energy company and tariff that is right for you.

If you are exporting a significant amount of power generated by your solar array, and you are a heavy user (eg. you have a heat pump), adding another battery will save you money. Don’t forget, a battery has two charge cycles every day; one during the day from the solar panels, and a night-time charge off your cheap night rate tariff. Thereby allowing two opportunities for significant savings.
